Analysis or a summary are usually associated when referring to an essay, periodical articles, government reports, and books. These are all known as texts. When writing about a text you must first prepare yourself to do so by annotating the text with observations and questions and outlining the key points. This can help the reader in many ways by getting the full understanding out of the text. Annotating the text means to read and actively write down your own thoughts or questions about the text. This means you are engaging with the text and comprehending the text. When annotating the text you must re read the text, analyze the text, write down details that surprise you, and use critical thinking to further understand it. Outlining what you are reading is important too, it can help your collision of thoughts become more clear. When reading a text write down the topic sentences and thesis. Summarizing a text can help you understand the main ideas and key points.
I think that these techniques can help immensely. I can use these tools to help write better and have a more clear understanding of what I am reading. I have some issues with writing papers sometimes and getting the full meaning out of a paper after I read it. I think that if I use these techniques It will help me become a better writer.
